Azerbaijan to join CIS meeting on rail transport

JSC Azerbaijan Railways will participate in a 56-member council meeting on rail transport of the CIS in Moscow on May 17-18, spokesman for the company Nadir Azmammadov told Trend on Friday.

"The meeting will be held to mark the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the organisation. The company is represented by a delegation headed by chairman of Azerbaijan Railways Arif Askerov, "Azmammadov said.

According to the press service, all the issues in the field of rail passenger and freight traffic in 2011 and plans for the current year will be discussed during the meeting. Azerbaijan Railways has been a member of the board since 1992.
