Azersu announces tender within KfW project

Azersu has announced a tender for reconstruction of water supply and sewerage system in Sheki city (380 km from Baku) within the "Open municipal infrastructure program-2", funded by the German development bank KfW and the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs, the operator said on Thursday.

This phase of the project aims to improve water supply system in Sheki city with a population of 75,000 people. According to the project, it is planned to construct three new reservoirs with a capacity of 3,000 cubic meters each, to reconstruct the existing reservoir with a capacity of 1,000 cubic meters.

A trunk line with a length of 7 kilometers will be built from the source of water - Kish river to Gurdzhan zone. The water lines were laid between the water reservoirs.

According to the terms of the tender, construction work must be undertaken on the basis of European standards. The fee for participating in the tender is 100 manat or $125. The companies -applicants can submit their proposals to "Azersu" until June 21.

Part of water supply system was reconstructed at the initial stage.
