Production prices for agricultural products down in Azerbaijan

Production prices for agricultural products decreased by 1.5 per cent in Azerbaijan compared to the previous price, the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan said.

The price of annual plants has declined by 2.7 per cent, with perennials by 0.4 per cent in April. Production prices of wheat from annual planting decreased by 0.6 per cent, greens - 11.9 per cent, cucumbers - 13.3 per cent, onions - 1.1 per cent, green onions - 3.4 per cent, potatoes - 5.9 per cent and the production of dry grass - 4.3 per cent.

Production prices for cabbage increased by 2.8 per cent, tomatoes - 0.6 per cent and clover - 0.2 per cent.

The price of apples from perennial plants decreased by 0.7 per cent, lemons - 3.7 per cent, hazelnuts - 1.8 per cent, chestnut - three per cent and nuts by 0.3 per cent.

Production prices for livestock products decreased by 0.7 per cent in April compared to the previous month including cows - by 0.9 per cent, beef and sheep meat (live weight) - 0.5 per cent and 0 1 per cent, respectively, buffalo and cow milk - by 0.2 per cent, eggs - 11.5 per cent and pure honey - 2.1 per cent.

The production price increase for sheep and goats by one per cent and by three per cent for poultry (live weight) was observed.

In April, there was a cheapening of fish and fish products price by 0.5 per cent for wood fuel use by 12.6 per cent.
