Azerbaijan, Netherland discuss agricultural cooperation

Azerbaijan’s Minister of Agriculture Ismet Abasov has met today ambassador of the Kingdom of Netherlands to Azerbaijan Republic Aryen Uyterlinde. Cooperation in field of the agriculture between the countries has been discussed in the meeting held in Ministry of Agriculture.
Minister Ismet Abasov highly appreciated the cooperation in agricultural sector between Azerbaijan and Kingdom of Holland.

As stated, ‘agricultural and food products of agricultural origin, as well as products prepared from grain, flour, starch or milk, tobacco and tobacco industry’s substitutes, live animals, brisk trees and other plants, cut off flowers, decorative plants and other agricultural products amounted at 11 million 688 thousand 700 USD have been imported from Holland to Azerbaijan in 2011.

In turn, Azerbaijan has exported vegetables, fruits, nuts and other parts of plants and processed products amounted at 194 thousand USD. The minister has put forward proposals on development of cooperation in the field of agriculture between the two countries.
