SOCAR monitors offshore structure

SOCAR's Environment Department has held monitoring to assess the primary environment conditions at Goshadash marine structure, SOCAR said on Wednesday.

According to information, monitoring was carried out before the exploration drilling at the structure by Complex drilling operations trust of SOCAR.

Integrated monitoring was carried out from the engineering-geological ship M.Suleymanov.

The monitoring stations were selected to study the rate and direction of ocean currents, and the analysis of some physicochemical parameters of seawater was carried out directly on the board.

In addition samples of water, ground, zooplankton, benthos and phytoplankton were collected for chemical and biological analysis. The samples were submitted to laboratories for analysis of complex investigations.
