Database of financial monitoring service ups

In March, the Financial Monitoring Service of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) received 17,958 facts on suspicious and current operations, a statistical report of the Service said on Friday.

In total, in the first quarter the Service received 55,617 facts. The service database has expanded in March by 47.69 percent.

In January, the service received 19,254 facts, in February - 18,405, March - 17,958.

Monitoring of the Service covers the activities of credit, insurance and reinsurance organizations, professional participants of securities market, pawnshops, investment funds, transactions with precious metals and stones and purchase of products from them, the activities of NGOs and religious organizations, organizers of lotteries, individuals providing services of sales of immovable property, as well as lawyers, accountants, real estate transactions, client money, securities and property, client banking and deposit accounts.

The Financial Monitoring Service under the CBA was established on February 23, 2009.
