SOCAR, ExxonMobil Company expand ties

President of Azerbaijan State Oil Company, SOCAR, Rovnag Abdullayev has met with the delegation led by the ExxonMobil Company`s project manager Michael White on Tuesday. During the meeting, SOCAR president hailed cooperation between the companies.

“ExxonMobil is one of the first international oil and gas companies operating in Azerbaijan. The company successfully cooperates with SOCAR on major regional projects,” SOCAR president added. Mr. Abdullayev expressed confidence that the two companies would continue to successfully develop business partnerships formed in the previous period.

Declared his mission at the end, Mr. White introduced a new appointed manager of the company Alistair McLeod to the SOCAR president. He expressed his confidence that the bilateral ties would further be developed during the new manager leadership.

SOCAR president congratulated A. McLeod on his new appointment, saying the ties between the two companies will be more strengthened.

ExxonMobil Corporation, the world's premier petroleum and petrochemical company, works in more than 200 countries. In Azerbaijan, ExxonMobil subsidiaries participate in the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli and Araz-Alov-Sharg projects. Exxon Azerbaijan Ltd has been actively supporting educational and humanitarian programs in Azerbaijan over the years and has provided significant contributions for the development and publication of much-needed texts in the Azeri Latin alphabet and aid for refugees and internally displaced persons.
