10 April 2012 [18:17] - TODAY.AZ
The demand for oil and petrochemical products in the CIS will increase in the medium and long term. The oil and gas processing and petrochemical complex planned to be constructed in Azerbaijan must have more capacity to ensure the increasing demand, Axens Director on Commercial Affairs Jean-Claude Plumel said at a forum in Azerbaijan
today.

"The company offers Azerbaijan a high level mediation in high quality technology, which will increase production volumes of such products as ethylene, polyethylene," Plumel said.

He said that Axens company has the necessary experience and technologies.

The company offers cooperation in the fields of innovative research and consulting services to increase energy efficiency.

The constant modernization of technology is required for the success of the project and drawing the necessary investments, SOCAR chief adviser on OPGC project, former
UOP President Carlos Cabrera said.

An important aspect is the ability to respond quickly to the changes, Cabrera said.

Air Products has expressed its willingness to share its experience with Azerbaijan in the production of a number of petrochemical products.

"The construction of this complex in Azerbaijan is one of the most interesting projects in this area," Air Products sales manager Philip Morris said.
