Azerbaijan ups tariffs for cargo transportation

In March tariffs for cargo transportation in the transport sector in Azerbaijan increased by 0.7 percent compared to February, the State Statistics Committee said on Saturday.
In March, tariffs for passenger transportation decreased by 1.5 percent.

Last month, average tariffs for transportation of 10 tons of freight by rail within the country per kilometer fell by 11.3 percent. In turn, tariffs for freight imported into the country by rail, export and transit goods increased respectively by 12.1, 9.6 and 4.6 per cent.

In total, a 1.9-percent decrease was observed in tariffs on international transportation of passengers by rail in March.

At the same time in March tariffs for transportation of a ton of freight by air on the CIS countries decreased by 0.5 percent. Tariffs for passenger transportation by air to far abroad countries fell by 3.7 percent, while to the CIS countries - by 1.5 percent.

In March, tariffs for transportation via oil pipelines increased by 0.2 percent compared to February.
