Azerbaijan's ranking ups in Global IT report

World Economic Forum has released its latest Global Information Technology Report in which Azerbaijan jumped 9 places to rank 61st. The report is made through the evolved methodological framework of the Networked Readiness Index (NRI) for 142 countries of the world.

Azerbaijan ranked 61st owning 3.9 points, and WEF specialists devoted a separate section the country titled “Big Ambitions in Rapidly Changing World: Azerbaijan”. The report makes Azerbaijan South Caucasus` absolute leader in terms of the development of information and communication technologies, with Georgia ranking only 88th and Armenia standing 94th in the report.

Sweden tops the Global Information Technology Report rankings (5.94 points), followed by Singapore (5.86 points) and Finland (5.81 points). The top ten also includes Denmark (5.7 points), Switzerland (5.61 points), Netherlands (5.6 points), Norway (5.59 points), the USA (5.56 points), Canada (5.51 points) and Great Britain (5.5 points).
