Ukraine offers Azerbaijan to up number of flights

04 April 2012 [19:17] - TODAY.AZ
During UEFA Euro 2012 in Ukraine this summer, it's necessary to increase the number of flights between Azerbaijan and Ukraine up to two times a day, Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Viktor Maiko told reporters in Baku on Wednesday.

"Today, the number of flights is small. Four times a week is not enough to ensure passenger traffic during Euro 2012 in Ukraine," said Maiko.

He said the football matches will take place in Kiev, Donetsk, Kharkiv and Lviv, and there should be direct flights in all these directions.

"We expect a large number of fans from Azerbaijan. And it will be very timely if the two airlines ("Azerbaijan Airlines" and "Aerosvit") will at least double the flights," Maiko said.
