'Illegal buildings directly interfering oil and gas extraction will be destroyed'

All illegal buildings interfering SOCAR’s oil and gas operations in oil contaminated areas will be destroyed, said the President of State Oil Company Rovnag Abdullayev.

According to him, SOCRA has such wells that it’s impossible to control them: “Therefore, the illegal buildings directly interfering the extraction will be destroyed”.

He also noted that, the talk was not about residential houses: “Recently, the construction works continue in those places, again. We try to prevent this process. Some people construct these houses at night and then they claim that they have lived here for a long time. But, we don’t believe, because we have photos captured from space”.
