
The rise of currency reserves of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) reached 0.49% for March 2012 against February 2012 and by 3.25% against start of the year.
Last year Bank’s currency reserves grew by 63.6% or $4.07 bn – an absolute record for the CBA.
The CBA reports that as of 1st April 2012 its currency reserves totaled $10.822 bn (absolute maximum) versus $10.769 bn by 1 March, $10.583 bn by 1 February 2012, $10.48 bn by 1st January 2012, $6.407 by 1st January 2011, $5.175 bn by 1st January of 2010 and $6.137 bn by 1st January 2009.
The CBA announced the forecast of currency reserves growth up to $12 bn for 2012.
