Azerbaijan’s tourist potential presented abroad

The Azerbaijani Embassy has presented the country's tourist potential at the international conference "Staff training and employment in the tourism sector."

Second Secretary of the Embassy Sabuhi Ahmadov spoke about Azerbaijan's tourism potential. In his speech, he highlighted the development of Azerbaijan's tourism sector during the years of independence, emphasizing the role and place of the Culture and
Tourism Ministry.

A representative of the embassy said the country pays great attention to tourism reforms and the creation of a developed tourist infrastructure under President Aliyev. Declaring 2011 as the Year of Tourism, the adoption of the state program on tourism development in
Azerbaijan in 2010-2014 and measures for its implementation played a major role in enhancing Azerbaijan's image as a country with a tourism profile.

Azerbaijan obtained a chance to rapidly improve its tourist image thanks to the victory in the "Eurovision" song contest, he said.

The conference was organized by the Tashkent State Economic University and Uzbektourism. The conference aims at promoting tourism.
