Suspension bridge to appear in Azerbaijan

Construction of a suspension bridge that was launched in May 2011 is till underway . The suspension bridge being constructed in the Chukhanli village in Azerbaijan’s Salyan region will connect the two shores of the Kura River, Cenub TV reported.

Azerkorpu JSC is an operator of this complex structure construction.  The construction work involves over thirty different types of machinery and 220 people.

The bridge length  will reach 361 meters, and suspension parts - 150 meters. It will consist of five support spans. Its latitude will be 30 meters with a four-lane road. Based on the reports, it will meet all the latest international standards.Today, three of the six pillars are completely ready, the rest will be soon completed.

The bridge with an estimate cost of 35 million manat will be completed in 2013. By the time ,work on construction of a new part of the Alat-Astara highway will be launched.
