"Akkord" Corporation wins "Caspian Energy Integration Award – 2012"

The 8th "Caspian Energy Integration Award - 2012" prize presentation ceremony was held at Park Inn hotel in Baku on March 19.

This prize has been awarded to companies and organizations which take an active part in production and social spheres of their countries as well as expand their business dynamically at global markets. Caspian Energy International Media Group is a general partner of the ceremony. Akkord Construction-Industry Investment Corporation OJSC and SOCAR-AQS LLC were the partners of the event.

While opening “Caspian Energy Integration Award – 2012” prize awarding ceremony Telman Aliyev, President and CEO of the Caspian-European Integration Business Club (CEIBC), expressed deepest gratitude on behalf of CEIBC member-companies and numerous readers of Caspian Energy International Media Group publications to Mr. Ilham Aliyev, President of Azerbaijan and Honorary Chairman of CEIBC, for supporting the activity of CEIBC and Caspian Energy International Media Group. Telman Aliyev expressed his gratitude to ceremony partners during the event, particularly to Akkord Construction-Industry Investment Corporation OJSC and its General Director Khagani Guluzade.

While giving a speech at the event, Elmir Velizade, Deputy Minister of Communication and Information Technologies of Azerbaijan, Shirin Shirinov, Deputy Director of the Department for Industry and Energy of the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan, and Jolt Chutora, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary to Azerbaijan stressed the importance of conduction of "Caspian Energy Integration Award - 2012"  and spoke about the role of the Club in development of relations between the companies of the Caspian region and European Union countries.

Then the ceremony continued with presentation of prizes on different nominations. The first prize was presented to Akkord Construction-Industry Investment Corporation OJSC. The corporation which expanded its business and entered the international arena over the past years was announced a winner of the “Constructioin company of the year” nomination.

"Caspian Energy Integration Award - 2012" prize was presented to General Director of the Corporation Khagani Guluzade. In his speech K.Guluzade welcomed all particpants and thanked for such an elite award. He noted that the Corporation aims at becoming a trans-national corporation which goes beyond Azerbaijan and cometes internationally.

“The prize that has been awarded today shows that we move in the right direction”. He wished success to all nominees of the international "Caspian Energy Integration Award" prize and congratulated organizers (Caspian-European Integration Business Club (CEIBC) on the 10th jubilee.

20 companies and organizations were nominated as leaders in their sectors in 2012.
It is noteworthy that international and elite CASPIAN ENERGY INTEGRATION AWARD prize is awarded on basis of the results of the poll that Caspian-European Integration Business Club (CEIBC) conducts in 50 countries worldwide among top- and medium managers of 500 companies operating in the Black Sea and Baltic regions (members of the Caspian-European Integration Business Club and Readership of Caspian Energy International Media Group publications)”.

The 70th jubilee issue of Caspian Energy journal which is published in two languages (Russian/English) and spread in 50 countries worldwide was distributed among ceremony participants. The ceremony was accompanied by a concert program.

CEIBC President noted that similar activities are held Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkey and Europe.
