
Azerbaijani state and non-state organizations, as well as physical entities held foreign trade operations worth $2.506.5 billion with 94 countries in January 2012, the State Statistics Committee said on Friday.
The trade turnover with CIS countries amounted to $252.3 million, while $2.254.2 billion fall to the trade operations with far abroad countries.
The goods worth $1.848.8 billion were exported from Azerbaijan to foreign countries. The amount of imported goods amounted to $657.7 million. Thus, the trade surplus for January amounted to $1.191.1 billion.
Most of the foreign trade operations (81.3 percent) were carried out with such countries as Italy, France, Germany, the Russian Federation, Bulgaria, Turkey, Israel, Indonesia, Portugal, Ukraine and Georgia.
