Azerbaijani, Dutch ties mulled

The Dutch delegation led by Minister of Infrastructure and the Environment Melanie Henriette Schultz van Haegen-Maas Geesteranus visited the Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Transport. The delegation was welcomed by Deputy Minister of Transport Musa Panahov.

During the meeting Panahov touched upon the recent transport projects and large-scal e reforms carried out in the country. Panahov noted transport sector is developing dynamically in the country. He said major projects are being carried out in Azerbaijan to increase the country`s transit potential.

For her part, Melanie Henriette Schultz van Haegen-Maas Geesteranus praised the accomplishments made in Azerbaijan in all spheres, including transport. She underscored the necessity of strengthening transport cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Netherlands. She touched upon activity of Dutch companies during floods, progress achvied in new trade seaport etc.

As a whole, the meeting focused on bilateral relations, expanding cooperation between the two counties, implementation of the joint projects and others.
