SMS will notify vehicle owners about insurance

The Compulsory Insurance Bureau established in Azerbaijan in the framework of the new law ‘On mandatory types of insurance’ is in talks with the country three mobile operators to launch a new service.
 
"In the future, the policyholder will have the opportunity to receive via mobile phone a notification  over transactions under the agreement on compulsory insurance, as well as information contained in this agreement," the bureau said.   The Bureau plans to launch the service in the coming days.

 The service is supposed to send SMS-messages to the subscriber with information about the series and issue certificates of insurance, dates of entry into force of ID and expiry, name and contacts of the insurance company.

"For example, subscribers, sending the state license plate, can obtain information on the validity of the insurance certificate, expiry, the insurance company , etc.,” the bureau said.
