AZAL applies new baggage norms - UPDATE

New norms will be imposed by Azerbaijan Airlines for baggage on international flights from Feb. 20, the company said on Wednesday. The company will introduce a simplified baggage calculation system based on the number of seats used by an individual.

Business class passengers will receive two free seats for their luggage, each of which shoudl not exceed 32 kg. Economy class passengers will receive one free seat, and the weight of their luggage should not exceed 23 kg.

Azerbaijan Airlines introduced a new simplified system of calculating the norm of registered baggage's carriage on a number of seats, the company's statement said on Tuesday.

Now, the calculation will be based on the number of seats. Now, business class passengers will get two seats for baggage, each of which will not exceed 32 kg. Economy class passengers will receive one free place for baggage not exceeding 23 kg.
