'Gas supply to Turkey gradually restored'

The process of Azerbaijani and Iranian gas supply, temporarily ceased due to technical problems, is being restored, Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Taner Yildiz said today, TRT Haber TV channel reported.

"We have held talks with the Azerbaijani and Iranian sides on the gas supply to Turkey," he said. "At present, gas supply from these countries will be fully restored."

Azerbaijan has recently suspended gas supply to Georgia and Turkey via the South Caucasus gas pipeline due to technical problems on a platform in Shah Deniz field.

BP Azerbaijan, technical operator of the field development told Trend that during the planned maintenance work in the power system of Shah Deniz platform an automatic shutdown system of the platform went off, as a result all the processes were suspended on it.
