An exhibition of Azerbaijani carpets was presented at the Culture and Tourism Center of the Athletes’ Village.
The exhibition includes carpets, rugs from the collection of the Azerbaijan Carpet Museum, as well as photographs of samples of jewelry, embroidery, national costumes.
Guests can also get acquainted with the technology of carpet-weaving and take photos in the Azerbaijani national dress.
The exposition attracted a lot of attention and arouses interest of visitors.
Being one of the world's most famous carpet centers, Azerbaijan have attracted people of all cultures. Today, Azerbaijani carpets can be found in the U.S., France, London, Russia, and many other museums and private collections. However, the world’s biggest carpet museum is located on the Caspian Sea shore.
Baku 2015, the first-ever European Games, is an exciting and innovative multi-sport event for the entire continent and will take place on June 12-28, 2015.
There will be a total of 20 sporting events at Baku 2015: 16 Olympic sports and four non-Olympic sports. More than 6,000 athletes from across Europe will be representing their nations over the 17 days of competition.
