Guests of the inaugural European Games in Baku will not just enjoy the sport festivity in the capital city, they will also have a chance to delight in the beauty of the country.
All tourism companies in Azerbaijan are ready to organize tours during the First European Games in Baku, the Azerbaijani Culture and Tourism Ministry reported.
There are over 200 tourism companies in Azerbaijan which are cooperating with national and foreign companies and organizations involved in tourism: airlines, insurance companies, embassies and hotels. They provide a full range of services and support for tourists during the entire trip.
The prices for the tours will not change from the current ones, tourists companies have confirmed.
The cost of the tours will depend on the rendered services and travel time. The cost of a one-day tour per person will vary between 20-50 manats (about $19-$47.5), the ministry said.
The ministry added that it does not interfere in price policy. “Tourism companies will organize the tours, and prices for these tours will also be set by them based on market prices.”
The guests of the First European Games will be offered regular tour packages as well as specially planned tours across Baku and various regions of the country, the ministry said.
Guba-Khachmaz, Lankaran-Astara, Sheki-Zagatala and others regions will be presented to tourists during these tours.
Head of the local tourism company MillenniumTurizm, Ruslan Guliyev said the company is not interested in an artificial rise of prices.
"The first goal is to offer our guests Azerbaijan's full tourism potential during the Games. In accordance with the recommendations of the culture and tourism ministry, each company is actively involved in raising the level of training of their staff and quality of services in preparation for the Games,” he said.
He went on to add, that preparations were being held in view of the organization of historical and cultural, entertainment tours.
All tourism companies will intensify their efforts to render high-level services to all guests of the country. These services will include around the clock support for tourists to make their stay in Azerbaijan eventful and memorable.
Last year, the country welcomed 2.3 million tourists. Azerbaijani hotels are ready to accommodate about 35,000 people. Every tourist arriving in Azerbaijan spends a minimum of $700.
The magnificent sport event this June 12-28 is expected to attract more guests to the Land of Fire and all tourism facilities are now preparing to present high quality services.
The diversity of tours around the country offers both one day and longer tours. Early summer is the perfect time to visit the regions of Azerbaijan, as the weather is favorable for walks. These trips will be interesting for families and friends.
